We are Kate and Kate and we love celebrants!
We love being celebrants, we love training celebrants, we love making our profession the best it can be and we love updating and improving our knowledge to keep up with changing times.
Kate T
Kate T has a background in performance, writing and publishing. She’s the older of the Kates, the driving force and the one who has to be stopped from having ten thousand ‘good ideas’ a day. She’s married to Wilbur the builder, has three daughters and a dog. She’s intelligent and opinionated but, when not on one soapbox or another, actually likes the quiet life – walks in nature, knitting, reading, yoga, swimming and cinema are right up there in her favourite pastimes.
Kate D
Kate D was a professional dancer and also did a stint as a magician’s assistant – yes, she was sawn in half! She’s the younger Kate and, believe it or not, the steadying influence! She’s married to Rob and also has three children and she’s mad about the gym – there’s always a spin bike with her name on it. She’s a kindle girl (Kate T is old skool with a paperback book) and only likes music with a pumping beat she can dance to.
Jointly, we have nearly forty years of experience in the wedding and funeral industries.
They are worlds we know like the back of our hands. We are award-winning and industry-leading – as our groaning trophy cabinet shows.
We have done the journey and want to share our map with you.

If you’re wondering what credentials we have to be able to train you to be an outstanding celebrant well, along with ten years of experience each as marriage registrars followed by another ten (and counting) as Kate & Kate Celebrants, we’ve also expanded our practice to include funeral education at Coffin Club and … within the celebrant profession and wider wedding/funeral world, we are multi-award winning.
